EVENT RULES & REGULATIONS

Unregistered cars are welcome as long as they pass our entry criteria.

If you wish to have your entry profile on our social media, we suggest you upload good-quality photos with No watermarks or logos; otherwise, you will miss out!

GENERAL RULES

 Please take the time to read and understand these General Rules and Regulations

To ensure safety, drivers must comply with all event rules and regulations. If you break our safety requirements, your entry will be terminated without return and you will be banned from future Supernats events.
The Clerk of Course and Promoter reserve the right to discontinue any participation in the event at any time for any reason he or she deems fit. Entrants who have had their entrant stickers and armbands removed due to misconduct on or off the track must assume responsibility for their actions; remember that our top concern is always your safety.

All drivers must have a 0% blood alcohol level and will be checked every time they enter Track Activities, as well as randomly throughout the event. Failure to comply with the No-Alcohol policy and exhibit any reading will result in being confiscation of their entry, & removal from the event and with no refund.

SUPERNATS & Venue Management prohibits the following items:

➢ Alcohol, drugs or other banned substances

➢ Glass containers/bottles

➢ Weapons, explosive devices and fireworks

➢ Miniature motorcycles & Motorised skateboards

➢ Animals in the event area (Note: Assistance animals will be accepted)

➢ Coloured tyres

➢No mechanical work to be done in the pit lane (due to oil on the concrete being slippery)

PARTICIPANTS CONDUCT

MUST ATTEND Drivers Briefing, this will take 20-30 mins at specific times during the event days. The focus is on what activities are permitted. It will include safety rules and guidelines as well as proper conduct during all track activities. There may be multiple times during the day. All drivers must attend take note and receive their armbands

  1. Make sure to attend  all scheduled scrutineering times

  2. Your duty to be ready for the event at the best you can and any failure DO NOT abuse both staff and management for your irresponsibility

  3. Performing Burnouts outside specified areas such as pits, camp areas and car parks, driving under the influence, reckless driving within the event venue (except the pad during events), and being abusive to personnel or crew are not permitted. Such conduct will result in immediate removal from the event & lifetime ban from attending future events held by SUPERNATS with NO REFUNDS 

Entrants will be accountable for any damages caused during any of the track activities and must compensate for any losses incurred to the property of others or the venue

TRAILERS/TOW VEHICLES
Entrants' tow cars are free of charge and will be issued a sticker at the registration office, which must be placed on the windscreen before entering the venue. NO STICKER, NO ENTRY!

 

SUPPORT VEHICLES
Entrants wishing a support car in the pits must pre-purchase  when registering their car online
Cost: $60 online secures your spot in the pits, or $80 at the gate (subject to availability). The Support vehicle may remain in the pits for the duration of the Event.  A support sticker will be applied to your vehicle's windscreen during registration. No sticker, no entry.

CARAVAN / MOTORHOME 

Entrants arriving with a Caravan or Motorhome must acquire a STICKER PASS on the windscreen of the vehicle/s  to be able to pass through the gates. Cost: $60 Online ($80 at the gates) reserves your spot in the pits for the whole event. During registration, a sticker will be affixed. 

MERCHANDISE/TRADER SALES 
MERCHANDISE/TRADER SALES Entrants (except Workshop Sponsors) who have not obtained a trade site cannot sell merchandise or goods without prior approval. Anyone found trading must pay for their trade stand.

DRIVERS IN ALL DRIVING EVENTS

➢ Must have a valid ... Licence.

➢ Will receive their armbands after they have had their safety check, and briefing completed, and have read, understood and signed the appropriate Event Disclaimer.

➢ Depending on the Entry Package you have chosen you get the armband colour accordingly.

➢ Must wear long sleeves and long pants, together with socks and closed shoes.

➢ Competing with methanol-fuelled vehicles must wear an approved race suit. It is highly recommended.

➢ Must be restrained (use seat belts) in all Driving Events.

➢ Must wear a helmet in the Burnout Competition, as well as the No Prep Racing, and Super Skids (Note: Helmets are not compulsory in the Cruise Sessions) Helmets must be Australian standards ADR/FIA/AASA7ANDRA/IHRA approved (No Skull Caps!).

➢ Will be tested at any time during the event to determine compliance with the maximum permitted breath alcohol content.

➢ Must follow the instructions of Event Officials and Fire Crew and show respect at all times

➢ May not undertake a static burnout or reckless driving in the pits, paddock, camping grounds, or car parks.  Any DRIVER breaching this requirement will be excluded from participating in the Event and all Supernats events

➢BRIEFINGS may be called at the discretion of the Event Director.

➢ MUST take their damaged tyres and fuel/oil containers off the Event premises on their departure. 

➢ Alloy wheels are NOT ALLOWED IN THE BURNOUT COMP  (permitted in other driving events)

All Panels must be fitted to the car during the complete event excluding burnouts unless proper pulley guards are correctly installed

PASSENGER RIDES

All passengers who want to take part in Cruising The Track including Kids Cruise Sessions and Burnout Comp, must sign the passenger Disclaimer and Indemnity Form that will be available only at the registration marquee.

Passenger wristbands are available for an additional $35 per person; this fee does not include spectator tickets.

 Only ONE FRONT SEAT permitted in the Burnouts and ONE per SEAT BELT in the Cruise Sessions

  • Passengers must wear long sleeves, pants, socks, and closed shoes. In methanol-fueled vehicles must wear an approved race suit.

  • Helmets and safety gear are not required to ride in a car during the cruise sessions, but it is compulsory during the Burnouts.

  • PASSENGERS must use seat belts in all driving events.

 

KIDS/FAMILY CRUISE SESSIONS

The Kids Cruise sessions will have set times, and to protect the children in the car, drivers must cruise the circuit at a slow, reasonable speed.

  • Kids 4yrs + can attend these sessions, and it is recommended to use booster seats (depending on age)

  • Wristbands will be required, which will be at a cost of $10 per child with unlimited use during the duration of the event.

TRACK EVENTS & RULES

 

BURNOUTS

​Burnouts are limited to 90 seconds of Qualifying and a Top 20 BURNOUT TOP GUN ELITES will compete in the Finals. There will be awards for the Top V8 & R/U, as well as the Top 4/6 Cyl & R/U.

 

The BURNOUTS Qualifying Rules: When red flags and lights appear, competitors must stop their burnout.

Failure to cease the burnout, when instructed, may result in a lower judged score or disqualification from the event.

Skids or Burnouts in the pits or paddock will result in your entry being cancelled and will be escorted out by security

BURNOUT RULES:

No Static burnouts

Vehicles on rims are not permitted to be driven around the venue or the track. Competitors will be liable for any damage.

No Skids or Burnouts at the pits or paddock will incur your entry cancellation

Must change tyres before crossing the Circuit

NO-REVERSING

TRACK CRUISING:

  • ​NO DRIFTING, NO STATIC BURNOUTS, NO DONUTS. NO CUTTING IN AND OUT OF TRAFFIC & NO LOSS OF CONTROL.

  • If you break down, stay in the car, you will be assisted by our officials

  • If you have a blowout during the cruise session, please exit the bitumen immediately

  • Flags/ lights mean slow down, hazard ahead. Red Flags/ lights mean the session is finished please leave the circuit.

  • If your car stops, stay in the car as officials will assist you. In the case of fire leave the car immediately!

  • Drivers will be tested every time they enter Track Activities as well as Random testing throughout the event.

  • Rear Brakes for Cruising, Super Skids & and NO-PREP Racing are a MUST!! (Permitted in Burnouts Only)

  • NO SLICKS for Track Cruising

NO-PREP RACING:

Held on the Circuit Track, 1/8 Mile Racing with no Lights, timing, or speed recording. You will compete against the racer that comes up next to you and the first racer over the finish line will be the winner. This category will be for BRAGGING Rights with a Trophy for the Winners and Runner/Up "Tyre warming will not be permitted."

SUPER SKIDS

Super Skids combines horsepower and driver skill without using the brakes, the aim is to spin the tyres for as long as possible down the main straight. Brakes are only to be used to steady the car, and not to continue the skid.  No passengers allowed. This category will be for BRAGGING Rights with a Trophy for the Winner and Runner Up  NO BURNOUTS NO DONUTS PERMITTED.

 

SHOW AND SHINE STATIC:

The Supernats Static Show & Shine will be held in a special area in the venue and there will be signs and officials to guide you through.

 

SHOW & GO:

Supernats Show & Go has always been a major category at Supernats. It is made of Show cars that have the Go as well as the Show. A Show and Go car must enter as many driving events as possible to accumulate points to be in the running for awards.

 

ENTRANTS CAMPING:

Supernats at Symmons Plains will be operating from Friday afternoon to Sunday Morning and there will be camping available. Access to the venue will commence on Friday from 12.00 pm or Saturday from 8.00 am onwards. All participants must leave the venue by Sunday night. If you have not purchased your camping accommodation, we can assist on the registration day for an extra cost.

ALCOHOL

Supernats has always been a NO-ALCOHOL event. We insist upon a 0.00 Blood Alcohol Limit for ALL drivers at All Times. You are not permitted to bring alcohol or drugs into the venue and there will be no sales of alcohol during the event. Security will be checking vehicles and roaming the venue all weekend!!! Failure to comply with the No-Alcohol policy and display any reading may result in dismissal from the event and will have their entry confiscated with No Refunds. Supernats Promotions reserves the right to seize any alcohol found on the premises. It is a family fun event & and we will not tolerate any misbehaving.

FUEL

Please be aware the venue permits only 1 x 20-litre drums of fuel to be stored per garage. However, you can have more in your support/trailer vehicles as long as it is outside and not in garages. NO FUEL permitted if you will be sleeping in the garages.

Venue Management Rule: Methanol Re-Fuelling will not be in Garages anymore there will be an outdoor allocated area!

STRICTLY NO SMOKING IN GARAGES (any butts left behind participants will be charged for the extra cleaning costs)​

 

CLEANING:

All participants must clean up after themselves using the bins supplied. No tyres are to be left behind if caught you will be billed for each tyre, our officials will be on the lookout for any rubbish that entrants leave behind, and they will be banned from future events.

 

INSURANCE

 

Please keep in mind that event insurance only protects against personal injury, and public liability, not venue property. In the event of an accident, whether intentional or accidental, the participant will be charged for any damages caused to the venue's property, as agreed when entering the event.

 

TROPHIES 

If you are not present during the presentation, you can have someone collect it on your behalf. You must organize the trophy collection as it will not be posted.

 

MEDIA

All photos and videos taken on the day by authorized media crew may be collected and used by SUPERNATS PROMOTIONS. All media must be sent to the organiser via email to supernats@optusnet.com or via WeTransfer within 48 hours of the event. Commercial use or Sales is not allowed without the Promoter's authorization. All viewers of the media must always remain in enclosed spaces; any media that does not comply with the rules will be banned from future Supernats Events and Legal action will be taken.

  

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

Entrants who are unable to attend the event or need to withdraw may do so up to before the event but will

NOT BE REFUNDED. You may exchange or sell your entry by providing us with the entry details, which will entail a $60 administration fee. 

Gold Pass holders, as well as those who rent a garage there will be NO REFUNDS (unless permitted by The Organisers) Tickets are not permissible to be transferred to another event in the future. You can sell it to another entrant, but you'll have to update the car's details, which will cost you an extra $60 in administration fees.​

 

WEATHER CONDITIONS

Due to insurance and safety regulations, certain track activities may be cancelled depending on the weather, but we make every effort to keep as many track events as possible going. We will inform everyone of the new date if the forecast indicates that it is not appropriate to proceed. Every entry will be carried over.
